The Palestinian Ministry of Culture announces the opening of submission call for consideration to the International Feature film category representing Palestine in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences 98th Oscars Awards in 2026 

- Submission must be made the Palestinian director or producer for films over 40 min. (narrative, documentary or animation) deadline 16/7/2025. 

- Creative control of the film must have been largely in the hands of citizens, residents or individuals with refugee or asylum status of Palestine.

- A predominantly (more than 50%) non-English dialogue track. 

- Film must be first released no earlier than October 1, 2024, and no later than September 30, 2025, for at least seven consecutive days in a commercial motion picture theatre.

As a regular procedure. An independent Selection Committee – assigned by the Ministry of Culture – will review and evaluate submitted films that satisfy eligibility criteria set by the Academy for the International Feature Film Award for the 98th Oscars 2026.
